People Person – Candice Carty-Williams

THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER FROM THE BRITISH BOOK AWARD WINNING AUTHOR OF QUEENIE

If you could choose your family, you wouldn’t choose the Penningtons

Dimple, Nikisha, Danny, Lizzie and Prynce are half-siblings who don’t have much in common except abandonment issues. But when a catastrophic event forces them to reconnect with each other and with Cyril Pennington, the absent father they never really knew, things start to get complicated fast . . .

People Person is a propulsive story of heart, humour and homecoming, about the true nature of family and the complexities of belonging.

    Review from Book Club Meeting:
There was some mixed feedback for this book. Whilst we enjoyed the start we felt the rest of the book felt a bit flat and we expected something more to happen, the author also seemed to lose some of the humour we enjoyed early on in the book. We liked reading about many of the characters, but thought some needed more development and we would have liked to know more about others. This was an easy, pleasant read, but probably not one we would recommend to others.
Overall, People Person by Candice Carty-Williams was awarded ⭐️⭐️⭐️
