African Drumming around the fire- Macclesfield.

April 25 @ 19:00 - 21:00

£15.00
Drum practitioner, Chris Morgan will be taking us through his African drumming workshop as we sit around a roaring fire under a canopy in the woods! Certainly not something you get to do every day!
During the session, Chris will be teaching the fundamentals of Djembe drumming, using a stunning set of authentic wooden hand drums from Mali in West Africa.
Participants will take part in a fun and vibrant drum circle. They will learn simple, effective and authentic African rhythms and will use everything they learn to create and perform an exciting, traditional African drum piece. This will be performed at the end of the session and members will leave with a great sense of accomplishment.
Chris’ workshops aim to entertain, charm and create a comfortable and welcoming environment for participants to relax and explore their creative side. This has been an extremely popular workshop that Chris has now run us several times in other Spaces, so we really look forward to bringing it to Macclesfield.
Only 16 tickets available for this workshop so if you like the sound of it, book early to avoid disappointment.

Please be aware that to access the space members need to walk down some steps to the bottom (around 20). There is a hand rail but it can be muddy once at the bottom so robust shoes should be worn and a coat.
